The Paper Boat
With this unimaginable situation we are in, some of us have not managed to be with our families or loved ones – we are either alone, or in my situation, it’s just the two of us.
They say that there is a reason for everything that happens.
A way to look at this situation could be to understand that finally it is time to find our own selves – someone we have neglected and ignored for a long time – perhaps forgotten ourselves completely somewhere along the way?
In order to find ourselves, we will need to find the child within us – after all, it is the child who is always honest, straightforward forward and very innocent, and that is our true self.
Today, how about making a paper boat on your own without anyone’s help, not even the internet? Just try recalling the steps from your own childhood memory and make it all by yourself.
Some who are young or have a child in their lives will find this easier to do while the rest of us will surely struggle but will find our way too.
After all, one of the first things we all learnt to make ourselves and were so proud of was a paper boat – it gave us so much happiness when we sailed our paper boats in the puddles around us – pure, simple & beautiful.
